Hey guys, hahahah XD Yes yes, this is the June birthday post, FINALLY.. well erm.. we really didn't have much time to finish this post cos the process of June's birthday was so long, and we were so busy these past few weeks. June has exams, I had rehearsals and dancing 7 days a week non stop so.. yea. Here it is

As we all know, June's birthday was coming soon, and it wasn't an ordinary birthday, it was her 18th birthday =D So apparently, 3 different groups of caring friends plotted a surprise for her that was a huge success, although there were a few let-aways in the process.

The plan was initially like this:

1. I 'go to tap class' and see June at home later.

2. Ethel takes June out to the city to 'kai kai' at around 5 and then return to the house with June at 7.30.

3. When Ethel brings June back, everyone is gathered at me and June's apartment and then surprise her.

Unfortunately there was a bit of technical problems so the plan changed:

1. I 'go to tap class' and see June at home later.

2. Ethel takes June to the library to study because June wanted to study.

3. Ethel would end the study session at 7.30 and bring June back to me and June's apartment.

4. Me, Fiona and Livia would surprise her with a small but nice cake with a candle, and throw balloons at her too. June will think this is 'the' surprise =P

5. Then Livia tells June we're gonna eat on the lawn outside Melb Uni, but have to meet Jessica outside KFC cos she tapau-ed KFC.

6. Livia said we have to go to her house and take all the mats and stuff, need everyone's help.

7. As the door opens, everyone else surprises her, and with a much bigger cake and lotsa food. This will be THE surprise.

But step 2 changed. It was supposed to be at one of Melb Uni's library but somehow it became the seminar room on Level 5 of college square- BAAAAAD THING. And Natalie was in the seminar room studying with June and Ethel. Natalie wasn't supposed to be there, she was supposed to be in Livia's room. >.<

During the time I was supposed to 'go to tap class', I actually brought out my dance bag but I instead went down to the city, take money then take the tram back to Melb Uni, go to Brunetti's and buy the small cake. There was sooo many nice cakes but I had to choose one which would look nice with a single candle.

Then after that I had to pray June wasn't on the ground floor of CS, sneak to Livia's room and help her set up everything in her house and the cooking. And whenever we needed extras of something or if I forgotten to bring something, I had to sms Ethel and tell her to make sure June stays in the seminar room, then I can only run back to our apartment to take stuff.

Jessica, Fiona and I were helping Livia around in the house. Gosh the part where we wanted to put up the balloons was hilarious. Jessica and I tied the balloons in a long row to hang across the wall but when I tried sticking the first part, 2 balloons popped right at my face and they were like 'Wait till Jay comes, we'll get him to hang'.

Jay, Yeon and Yoshi came not long later then we asked Jay to help hang the balloons. But many popped and he was so fed up with it. He went like 'No, no, I'm not doing this'... sooo.. this is how it turned out to the other half of the amount of balloons...

They taped them on the fan. If I'm not mistaken it was Yeon's idea.

When Jae Suk came, Jay had to go down to pick him up cos he didn't know the way up, he told Yeon and Yoshi to follow him as well, so Yoshi, who was carrying Livia's huge pink stuff penguin brought it together with him XD This is the pink penguin..

After Jae Suk came, slowly a few more people started coming in. It was about 6 but we still had one pasta bake dish left to do, and like around 3 bowls of chicken to fry. Then half an hour later Ethel smsed me 'we are coming now' and I started to freak out. I was like 'NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!' it was only 6.30, she was supposed to bring June back at 7.30. It was toooo early. I tried calling Ethel but as if things couldn't get worse, I had NO credit. I could only sms. So I asked her 'why so early?' then she called me and told me they couldn't stay any longer in the seminar room, and that we had 10 minutes to run because June at that moment was going downstairs to return the keys.

So Livia, Fiona and I were running all over the place, one taking the cake out of the fridge, one grabbing the long pink candle and a balloon, and I ran around to grab 2 more balloons, and we dashed out of the room.

We were all out of breath when we arrived in our apartment, and Livia struggled to lit the candle and stick it into the cake. And I switched the lights off. Then we heard Ethel going (in Mandarin) "Waa, my leg pain' and we kept quiet.

When Ethel opened the door and June came into view, she freaked out. According to June, she thought she saw a floating head (candle light under Livia's face). We sang her the birthday song at the same time. Well June was seriously freaked out XD

And she thought this was the surprise. As she was like making a wish over her cake..

The rest of us were behind her were eyeing each other, hinting we were happy the first step was a success. Then we told her about meeting Jessica, then going onto the lawn to have dinner because June had mentioned she wanted to eat on the lawn to a few of us. She was really happy. Then she was saying about her once-in-a-lifetime luck with half-priced sushi, and she wanted to buy it earlier but ended up not buying. And then Livia told her we had to go to her room to take the mats and stuff. The blur June didn't suspect anything. =D

Then June said she wanted to go change because outside was cold, so she changed her shirt and wore the puffy jacket, and I took one of my thinner jackets cos I left my thick one at Livia's.. then we left the apartment. June only ate half the cake btw. She wanted to keep it for later cos she thought she ate too slow and would be holding us back.

When we arrived outside Livia's apartment door, Livia took the keys out and opened the door and there was a frying sound and the room was dim. Livia then went like 'Jie... (calling her sis)' and then when some of us were in, everyone else went like 'Happy Birthday' and started to sing the song. June said she felt like crying, but she ended up having her face red for the next hour or so instead.

So after that, the party started. Jay came up with this funny 'Korean tradition' where the birthday person gets hit on the head with a balloon. So Jay, Yeon and Jae Suk started to hit June's head with balloons, then later Yoshi joined in too.. hahha, but he was Jap.

We had heaps of funny moments later on. And then we started taking group pictures ^^

After that everyone got really bored and restless so someone suggested why don't we go for karaoke? Then we all agreed except Ethel couldn't go cos she was already gonna karaoke with her other friends. And Yoshi rode the tram with us but all of a sudden got down at one of the stops and sed he can't go cos he has homework to do. Oh well. The rest of us went anyway, thinking how we're gonna fit in one of the karaoke rooms of the place we're going to.

On the way there, Livia, without giving a warning, just faced her camera behind and snapped random photos, and Natalie kept going 'eh? I'm not ready yet!' like every single time Livia took a picture. It was so funny XD

We went to this Korean karaoke place and ironically, we got the same room June and some of the others had been to previously. The same room Jae Suk was like so enthusiastic, dancing 'Tell Me' during that time. I wasn't there, but June showed me a vid =P Before we went, June told him she showed me the vid and he was like 'You showed her?' XD

Karaoke was alright, not everyone sang though. I did sing with a couple of people a few times but my voice wasn't strong so my voice couldn't really be heard. I don't have a good strong voice unlike the Melb Uni wannabe ppl and Livia. I hear them sing and I'm like 'damn...why can't I have a stronger voice like theirs?'

I can't remember how long we karaoka-ed till but I remember it was kinda late. Oh yes, it was like almost 12 midnight. And we took a group pic outside the karaoke place. Well erm we had to take group pics twice cos we didn't have anyone to help us take pics for us.

We had a really great time at the karaoke though. The funniest was when Jay randomly sang 'YOU SO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAN!' XD

Only a few of us will understand it. I understood what that meant after June told me, HAHA!

So here ends June's birthday post. I actually wanted to type in more details but my mind's so drained right now I can't remember as much anymore. If u guys didn't know I just did 2 shows this weekend and these past few weeks have been hell for me so.. I might've forgotten bits of here and there. And certain people at school have been so self centred it annoys me.

Well June and I will be back in KL in a couple of hours..should be under 20 hours =D
